Having said this, I must point out that the prices should be taken with a grain of salt ...or sugar, as the case may be. Much can happen in the months between writing and publication, or the years between publication and revision, to impact on the collectibles market one way or the other. This is a cereal collectables guide, not gospel.
All cereal box prices are given for the item in the condition as pictured, whether an assembled flat or a half-crushed carton. I am not a condition wonk. Vintage cereal boxes are rare enough that only a fool would turn down a beautiful old cereal box just because the flaps are torn off or a kid's name is scrawled across the face. Why deprive yourself of years of enjoyment by waiting for another box in better shape to come along? If you do, your precious unopened Banana Wackies cereal box might be carried on the out stretched palm of the Grim Reaper.
Malcontents, constipated antique establishment types, and dealers looking to make a fast buck will grumble that I have shirked my solemn duty as an information purveyer by not delivering cereal box prices and values for an inane range of possible conditions from "Just torched" to "Shoot, the ink is still wet!" Baloney! After wrestling a Mack truck of collectables material up on my front lawn to make this cereal box website possible, even the thought of such nit-picking madness gives me a migraine. I leave that thankless job to some poor compulsive wretch who enjoys reading the Manhattan white pages or counting the half-moon marshmallow bits in a train load of Lucky Charms. Go fish.
