Dated 1964, this beautiful Kellogg's "Sweet Eatin' Cereal Bowl-ers" once hung over an American supermarket Cereal Box aisle to promoted the gr-r-reat Kellogg's / Hanna Barbera marketing alliance. The cereal advertising piece features a giant Tony the Tiger on top, with "life size" cutouts of Snagglepuss and Sugar Pops Pete on the right and left of Tony the Tiger, respectively. (The cereal box characters ensemble once included Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw but those figures have long since disappeared.) All three critters are wearing bowling shoes in keeping with the "cereal bowl", bowling ally theme. More importantly, beneath Tony's feet are showcased the six coolest Kelloggs Cereal Box fronts--about life size--from the mid '60s; Toucan Sam's Froot Loops cereal, Hillbilly Goat's All Stars, Snagglepuss's Cocoa Krispies, Sugar Pops Pete's Sugar Pops, Tony Tiger's Frosted Flakes, and Quick Draw McGraw's Sugar Smacks. The cereal collectible sign is roughly 4 feet tall by x 5 feet wide but since the two side figures--Snagglepuss and Sugar Pops Pete--are not attached (originally they hung from string from the ceiling), this cereal collectables piece should be widened when displayed. (The three pieces were "compressed" to fit in the camera's narrow frame when photographed). Originally, the cereal box display was two sided so as to be seen both coming and going in the supermarket but only one side remains today.
